What Is This Test?

A blood test that measures IgG antibodies against Aspergillus fungus.

Why this test is performed?

Helps diagnose aspergillosis, a fungal lung infection or allergy. IgG antibodies develop later and last longer, so a positive IgG usually indicates past infection or immunity (from infection or vaccination).

Who should take this test?

Cough for more than 2 weeks, breathlessness, wheezing, fever with chest symptoms, or TB exposure.

Test Preparation

No fasting needed.
