A blood test that measures IgM & IgG & IgA antibodies against Chlamydia trachomatis.
Helps diagnose chlamydia, a common sexually transmitted infection that can cause infertility. IgM antibodies appear early, so a positive IgM usually suggests a recent or current infection. IgG antibodies develop later and last longer, so a positive IgG usually indicates past infection or immunity (from infection or vaccination). IgA antibodies can indicate active or mucosal infection.
Fever, rash, jaundice, suspected exposure to infection, before surgery or pregnancy, as advised by a doctor.
No fasting needed.

Blood sample taken from a vein in your arm.
