A blood test that measures IgG antibodies against rubella virus.
Helps diagnose rubella (German measles), which can cause birth defects if caught in pregnancy. IgG antibodies develop later and last longer, so a positive IgG usually indicates past infection or immunity (from infection or vaccination).
Women planning pregnancy or who are pregnant, as advised by the gynaecologist.
No fasting needed.
