Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections.

Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet is to be taken with food.This will help to avoid stomach upset.

Driving Caution: Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive.
Kidney Caution: Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Caution: Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of liver function tests is recommended while you are taking this medicine
