Avol 500 CR Tablet

Avol CR 500 Tablet is a combination of two antiepileptic medicines: Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid. They work together to control seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Avol CR 500 Tablet is to be taken with food. This will help to avoid stomach upset.

Alcohol Caution

Avol CR 500 Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Pregnancy Unsafe

Avol CR 500 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Safe

Avol CR 500 Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.

Driving Caution

Avol CR 500 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

Kidney Caution

Avol CR 500 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Avol CR 500 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.

Liver Caution

Avol CR 500 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Avol CR 500 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Avol CR 500 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
