Avoprost Capsule

Avoprost 8 mg Capsule is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Avoprost 8 mg Capsule is to be taken with food. Avoid Avoprost 8 mg Capsule with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.

• Retrograde ejaculation
• Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing)
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Nasal congestion
• Diarrhea

Most side effects do not need medical attention and go away as your body adjusts. Talk to your doctor if they bother you or do not go away.

Alcohol Ask your doctor

Taking Silodosin with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience a headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Pregnancy Probably safe

Avoprost 8 mg Capsule is probably safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Ask your doctor

Driving Ask your doctor

Dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure may occur in some patients while on Avoprost 8 mg Capsule. If you are affected in this way, your ability to drive may be impaired.

Kidney Caution

Avoprost 8 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Avoprost 8 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Avoprost 8 mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver Caution

Avoprost 8 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Avoprost 8 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Limited information is available on the use of Avoprost 8 mg Capsule in these patients.
