Cyclopam Tablet is used in the treatment of abdominal pain and irritable bowel syndrome.

Cyclopam Tablet is a combination of two medicines: dicyclomine and paracetamol, which relieves abdominal pain and cramps. Dicyclomine is an anti-cholinergic which relaxes the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Paracetamol/Acetaminophen is an analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cyclopam Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Alcohol Ask your doctor: Taking Dicyclomine+Paracetamol/Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.
Pregnancy Probably safe: Cyclopam Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding Unsafe: Cyclopam Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving Ask your doctor: It is not known whether Cyclopam Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney Caution: Cyclopam Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cyclopam Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Caution: Cyclopam Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cyclopam Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, the use of Cyclopam Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
