Orni O Tablet

Orni-O Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ofloxacin works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. Ornidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Orni-O Tablet is to be taken with food. Taking it empty stomach can cause stomach upset.

Most side effects do not need medical attention and go away as your body adjusts. Talk to your doctor if they bother you or do not go away.

Alcohol Caution

Orni-O Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).

Pregnancy Unsafe

Orni-O Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Ask your doctor

Kidney Caution

Orni-O Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Orni-O Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Orni-O Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Orni-O Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
