Tsart 40 Tablet

Tsart 40 Tablet is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and PPARγ-agonist. It relaxes blood vessels by blocking the action of a chemical that usually makes blood vessels tighter. This lowers the blood pressure, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly to different organs and the heart to pump more efficiently.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tsart 40 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

• Diarrhea
• Sinus inflammation
• Increased potassium level in blood

Most side effects do not need medical attention and go away as your body adjusts. Talk to your doctor if they bother you or do not go away.

Alcohol Ask your doctor

Taking Telmisartan with alcohol may excessively lower the blood pressure.

Pregnancy Unsafe

Tsart 40 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Probably safe

Tsart 40 Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving Caution

Tsart 40 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

Kidney Caution

Tsart 40 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Tsart 40 Tablet is recommended. However, inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, creatinine, and potassium levels may be advised while you are taking this medicine.

Liver Caution

Tsart 40 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tsart 40 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Tsart 40 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
