Tsart M 40/25 Tablet

Tsart-M 40/25 Tablet ER is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol Succinate. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the chemical angiotensin, thereby relaxing blood vessels. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and lower blood pressure. Together they allow the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tsart-M 40/25 Tablet ER is to be taken with food.

• Weakness
• Dizziness
• Cold extremities
• Slow heart rate
• Increased potassium level in blood
• Numbness of extremity
• Decreased blood pressure

Most side effects do not need medical attention and go away as your body adjusts. Talk to your doctor if they bother you or do not go away.

Alcohol Ask your doctor

Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Pregnancy Unsafe

Tsart-M 40/25 Tablet ER is unsafe to use during pregnancy. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Probably safe

Tsart-M 40/25 Tablet ER is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving Caution

Tsart-M 40/25 Tablet ER may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

Kidney Caution

Tsart-M 40/25 Tablet ER is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Tsart-M 40/25 Tablet ER is recommended.

Liver Caution

Tsart-M 40/25 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tsart-M 40/25 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
